This VE Day & every VE day, Remembrance day remember all of the millions of people who gave their lives so we could enjoy our freedoms. The South Asian contribution is no different, during the war men and women from South Asia amongst them Sikh, Muslim & Hindu stood side by side British, American, French and Russian allies.
These are the ones whose faces are still rarely in our history books. The ones who are rarely thanked or mourned. The ones whose names never even made it on memorial stones. Each year keep them in your minds and prayers.
