The Adda Club is a grassroots community organisation serving the Bangladeshi and South Asian community across St Albans and Hertfordshire. We create spaces for cultural celebration, language preservation, intergenerational connection, and community initiatives.
Our primary goal is to promote and share Bangladeshi cultural, social, and linguistic traditions within St Albans and the surrounding areas.
The Adda Club started back in 2017 as an informal group of families who wanted to share their heritage with one another and introduce these traditions to the next generation of British Bangladeshis. What began with casual gatherings, day trips, and regular carrom nights for young people has grown into something much bigger.
Now, nine years later, we provide so much more than just Bangla language classes. We run a community lifestyle blog, deliver vital community health projects, and host regular events and support sessions.
We remain dedicated to our mission of celebrating and preserving our traditions for the whole community to enjoy.
